Hi everybody, Don't know what the heck I am doin'g, so here goes. After graduation My high school sweetheart and I left and went to Maryland. My older sister was there already and I knew she would help us. We lived in Takoma Park for about one year. We left there and moved to Norfolk, Va., lived there for about a year and a half. While there we had a son. Unfortunately,or should I say tragicaly, he was born with a defect and died just before his eighth month. We left there and moved back to McDowell County in 1970.I started working for the Kroger company, and stayed there until 1981. Our marriage disintegrated, so, I went back to Maryland in 1981. I worked for a small construction company and taught myself how to drive dump trucks. I tried some other lines of work but eventually stayed with driving a truck. In 1983 I remarried and inherited a 10 year old and an 11 year old.These were my wifes younger brother and sister. Their mother died of cancer shortly after our marriage and the kids did not want to live with their father.Both of them stayed with us until just before their senior year of high school, they finally gave their father a chance.From about 1984 to 1990 I drove a six wheel box truck for a company that serviced schools, hospitals, and some pr...Expand for more
